1:00 End Event

On September the 9th at 10:00AM PST, we will be hosting a live chat event in which several of the Lunar Prospector's leading scientists will answer your questions regarding the latest science results and any other general questions. The event will feature live, streaming video of the scientists responding to your questions. Be sure to download the RealVideo 5.0 or the G2 player from RealNetworks before the event begins. A RealVideo player will be required for the first two hours of the chat event.

The chat event will be moderated; only questions selected by our moderator will be considered. We recommend including your real name, location and school when posting your question.

Here are the instructions for entering the site:

  1. Download the RealVideo 5.0 or G2 player from RealNetworks. The first two hours of the event will require this player to view and hear live responses from the scientists to the questions you post in the chat room.
  2. Enter the chat room by clicking one of the two links below. You may enter the room as either an observer or a participant. An observer cannot post messages but can view new messages. A participant can post new messages, but only those selected by our moderator will be posted. Due to limitations in our chat software, we recommend joining as an observer only if you have no intentions of asking questions. Remember to hit the refresh/reload button on your browser to see new messages.
  3. Click on the "Begin RealVideo Feed" link on the side navigation bar within the chat page. For the first two hours, answers will only be sent out over RealVideo and will not be posted in the chat room itself.
  4. The RealVideo segment of our chat event will last from 10:00 to 12:00PM PST. At noon, the live video feed will stop, but the chat room will remain open until 1:00PM.
